Dear Colleague:
I’m writing to invite you to apply to be an Exam Reader for AP German. The AP German program has been growing, so we need to identify potential Readers (both secondary school teachers and college faculty) to score the free-response section of this challenging exam. This year’s AP German Reading will be June 12–19 in San Antonio, Texas. Taking part in the Reading provides a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the exam, network with other AP teachers, and enjoy beautiful San Antonio. You’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped many students further their educational goals.
Interest in AP German has grown continuously over the years. In 2004 more than 4,700 students took the AP German Exam, and many of them will receive college credit for their diligent work. If you’d like to be added to the pool of Readers for this year, you must apply immediately. In order to qualify, secondary school teachers must have taught AP German for at least three years and currently have an AP class; college faculty should be teaching third-year German.
Thank you for your interest in AP German.
Sincerely,
Wiebke Strehl
Chief Reader AP German
